Joe is a seasoned professional with years of experience in technology, trading, investment banking and senior management. He began his career as a programmer at IBM in Kingston, New York and subsequently joined Accenture, the global management consulting firm in New York. During this period, Joe designed information systems and managed teams of programmers. In 1989, Joe joined Bond Technologies, a technology consulting firm, where he managed the design and implementation of an information system for the private equity group at Merrill Lynch.
After receiving his MBA in 1992, Joe began a 20+ year investment banking career as a capital markets professional with leading Wall Street firms including Citigroup, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse. During this period, Joe completed over $85 billion of financings for both public and private companies in connection with buyouts, acquisitions and recapitalizations. While at Credit Suisse, Joe founded the middle market lending group and grew the business to over $40MM of revenue in four years.
In 2008, Joe founded Bayberry Capital Management, which focused on taking advantage of the dislocation in the capital markets during the financial crisis. During this period, Joe actively managed and traded a portfolio of fixed income and equity securities.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Columbia University School of Engineering & Applied Science and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
